DEBARY, Fla. -- Pests are a year-round problem in Florida. They can lay waste to a lawn or take out a garden seemingly overnight.
Howard Jeffries will offer tips on dealing with insects, nematodes, weeds and physiological disorders at 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 3, in DeBary Hall Historic Site’s stable, 198 Sunrise Blvd., DeBary. Jeffries, a master gardener with the University of Florida/Volusia County Extension, will also discuss natural pest control and plant scouting.
