DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- With only one biker fatality on Monday, the 2018 Bike Week motorcycle rally has been a fun-fiulled adventure heading into the final weekend of the 10-day event.
So far, a motorcyclist from New York killed in Holly Hill remains the lone roadway fatality.
The wreck at Flomich and State avenues took place at 8:10 p.m., according to a report from Florida Highway Patrol. The rider, identified Wednesday as 54-year-old David Remchuck of Hornell, NY, was thrown from his 2005 Harley-Davidson after he struck a utility pole while westbound on Flomich.
The rally is expected to draw more than 250,000 bikers to the greater Daytona Beach area.
