SANFORD, Fla. -- A 28-year-old man was shot to death outside a bar on Goldsboro Boulevard within walking distance of the municipal police department early on this Saturday, Sanford cops said, adding the gunman remains at large.
Here is a synopsis of what occurred in the 2:46 a.m. homicide as described by Sanford Police PIO Ronny Neal in an email media alert to Headline Surfer and other daily news outlets: Sanford Police responded to Mama Coot’s, located at 1013 Historic Goldsboro Boulevard, in reference to a shooting with injuries. Upon arrival, contact was made with an adult male victim, identified as Derek Williams (Date of Birth 11/2/89).Mr. Williams passed away on scene as a result of his injuries.
Cops are looking for the gunman but did not disclose whether the identity of the shooter is known to them.
