SANFORD, Fla. -- One man was pronounced dead on arrival and another critically wounded from gunfire late Friday after deputies responded to the 3300 block of Sanford Avenue in unincorporated Seminole County after several 9-1-1 calls of shots fired.
Here is a synopsis of what occurred in the 10:54 p.m. incident as described by Sheriff's spokeswoman Kim Cannaday: When deputies arrived on the scene, Seminole County paramedics were tending to an unresponsive man inside the home with gunshot wounds, who was pronounced deceased shortly after arrival at Seminole County Regional Hospital in Sanford. Deputies then learned a second shooting victim had been driven to the hospital earlier that evening and was also being treated for gunshot wounds. He is currently in stable condition and is not cooperating with investigators.
The deceased was later identified as Antonio Alston, 23. The victim who survived the shooting was identified as 26-year-old Senoula Presendieu.
"According to witnesses, multiple people were inside the home when an unknown disturbance occurred between four males," Cannaday told Headline Surfer. "At least one of the males was armed with a handgun and fired several rounds striking the two victims. The shooter and the other unharmed male fled the scene and have not yet been located."
Cannaday said the investigation is active and ongoing, adding, "All parties involved have been identified, and investigators are working strong leads on the whereabouts of the outstanding subjects."
