FORECAST: So-So Good Friday today, but warmer Easter weekend at the World's Most Famous Beach in greater Daytona

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Thursday was a lousy beach day with dark clouds and chilly temps barely hitting 60s - no April fool's joke with that.

Today looks to be a Good Friday with mostly sunny skiies, with a high near 61 at the World's Most Famous Beach in greater Daytona, according to the Nationall Weather Service in Melbourne.

It will be windy, however,with a north northeast wind around 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. 

Today should be a little better than Thursdsay, but not by much.  

It will be partly cloudy, tonight with a low around 47, with north northeast winds around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. 

Easter weekend looks far more promising. with temps in the low 70s, sunny skies and diminished winds.

Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 66. Northeast wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. 

Saturday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 51. Northeast wind 5 to 10 mph. 

Easter Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 70. Northeast wind 5 to 10 mph. 

Sunday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 52. East northeast wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening. 

Monday: Sunny, with a high near 74. Light and variable wind becoming east northeast 5 to 10 mph in the morning.
