WASHINGTON DC -- Paolo Banchero powered the Orlando Magic to a 109-97 win over the Washington Wizards on the road Thursday night with a team-high 33 points and 18 rebounds.
Banchero also had 8 assists and 3 three-pointers on the night, Franz Wagner of the Magic adding an additional 27 points (10-19 FG, 3-7 3P), 5 rebounds, and 5 assists in the game.
Banchero's double-double was his 10th of the season. He bested his previous career mark of 16 rebounds, set on Nov. 5, 2022, against Sacramento.

Wagner scored the first seven points of the fourth quarter to give the Magic some breathing room, including his third 3-pointer of the night from the right wing, followed by a steal and dunk that stretched it to 88-76. The Magic committed only 12 personal fouls, helping them to a 25-11 advantage in free throw attempts. Two of their fouls were flagrant.
Bub Carrington finished with a team-high 32 points and 9 rebounds for the Wizards in the losing effort.
With the win, the Magic improved their record to 38-40, while the Wizards fell to 17-60 on the season.
