NSB News.net welcomed by SE Volusia Chamber of Commerce

NEW SMYRNA BEACH -- NSBNEWS.net, around the clock Internet news for greater New Smyrna Beach, was welcomed Wednesday by the Southeast Volusia Chamber of Commerce in a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The online newspaper was launched April 11 and has surpassed 42,000 "hits" since then. NSBNEWS.net offers up-to-date local news for New Smyrna Beach, Edgewater, Oak Hill, Samsula, Bethune Beach and Silver Sands. It also covers news of countywide significance as well as national and world news, sports, entertainment and business. There are also nearly two dozen community writers and an editorial cartoonist and more than 100 click-able items on the Home Page alone.

As Peter Mallory, publisher of NSBnews.net pointed out to chamber members, the news coverage and the Web site are free, it's "green" in preserving the environment and a continuous news resource for Southeast Volusia.

Also recognized as a new business by the chamber was Anthony's Pest Management, owned by Larry Anthony. He offers free estimates, complete termite protection and other pest control methods.
