DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Willie J. Kimmons, an academian and civic giant in Daytona Beach's African-American community and a candidate for countywide office in the November elections was investigated on allegations by a woman that he "brutally raped" back in February, but because she didn't report her claim for several days and Kimmons represented by legal counsel would not answer questions by cops investigating it, the State Attorney's Office "no info'd" the case in June.
