PENSACOLA, Fla. -- Gov. Rick Scott on Friday announced the reappointment of Sarah Walton, a Pensacola-based attorney, to the Environmental Regulation Commission.

Walton, 36, of Pensacola, is an attorney with the law firm of Philip A. Bates PA. She is reappointed for a term that ends July 1, 2017.

DAYTONA BEACH -- Passenger traffic at Daytona Beach International Airport increased 1 percent in January compared with January of last year, Volusia County officials saids. During January, 44,605 passengers flew in and out of the county-operated airport.

This compares with 44,170 travelers recorded in January, 2013. For the 12 months ending in January, traffic increased 4 percent to 608,412.

DAYTONA -- Passenger traffic at Daytona Beach International Airport increased 3 percent in November compared to the previous November, Volusia County officials said.

Last month, 44,939 passengers arrived and departed through the county-operated airport. This compares with the 43,666 travelers recorded last November.

And for the 12 months ending Nov. 30, there were 603,419 passengers tracked through the airport, compared with 583,142 recorded for the prior 12 months, a 3 percent increase.

“We are very pleased with the latest monthly traffic increase,” Rick Karl, the airport’s director, told Headline Surfer®.

During October, 50,930 incoming and outgoing passengers traveled through the county-operated airport. This compares with 46,704 passengers in October 2012.

And for for the past 12 months, 602,146 travelers have flown in and out of the airport, a 1 percent increase compared to the year.
