Ronald Durham, one of greater Daytona Beach's foremost black ministers, was just 17 years old when he learned in his history class back in Passaic, N.J. that Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. had been assassinated while standing on the balcony of a hotel in Memphis, Tenn. Bike Week: 1 death so far during 10-day motorycyle rally in greater Daytona Beach heading into final weekend

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- With only one biker fatality on Monday, the 2018 Bike Week motorcycle rally has been a fun-fiulled adventure heading into the final weekend of the 10-day event.

So far, a motorcyclist from New York killed in Holly Hill remains the lone roadway fatality.

The wreck at Flomich and State avenues took place at 8:10 p.m., according to a report from Florida Highway Patrol. The rider, identified Wednesday as 54-year-old David Remchuck of Hornell, NY, was thrown from his 2005 Harley-Davidson after he struck a utility pole while westbound on Flomich.
