10-foot gator spotted near Edgewater City Hall from nearby pond trapped and killed

This alligator was captured and killed near the Edgewater City Hall on Riverside Drive on Friday.

EDGEWATER -- A 10-foot alligator was captured and killed by a gaming hunter Friday afternoon after it was spotted near the entrance to the Edgewater City Hall and where narby children play, city officials said.

The alligator came from a nearby pond, according to Central Florida News 13, which first reported the story.
