DeBary Hall to host 'Frederick's Freaky Fridays' in October

DEBARY -- Children ages 3 - 10 are invited to get a head-start on Halloween with “Frederick’s Freaky Fridays” in DeBary Hall Historic Site’s stables. Participants can make crafts, play games, and hear Halloween stories from 2:30 - 3:30 p.m. every Friday in October.

The creepy series is named after Frederick deBary, the original owner of DeBary Hall. The charge is $3 per child, and costumes are optional.

Activities include:
● Oct. 1: Make a creature and play bat games.
● Oct. 8: Make spider bracelets, create a treat holder, and play
ghostly games.
● Oct. 15: Design spooky silhouettes and enjoy story time with
shadows.
● Oct. 22: Create freaky finger puppets and make your own ghost
story.
● Oct. 29: Make a spider egg and listen to tales from a witch.

DeBary Hall Historic Site, 210 Sunrise Blvd., is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It is owned by the state and managed by Volusia County’s Parks, Recreation and Culture Division.
