NEW SMYRNA BEACH -- "Always ... Patsy Cline." opens Nov. 19, at the Little Theatre and has six showings only. It's based on the true story of Patsy Cline's friendship with a Houston housewife and avid fan, Louise Seger.

They met before a show in 1961 and began a friendship that lasted until Cline's untimely death at the age of 30 in a plane crash in 1963.
The show takes its name from Patsy's sign off on her letters to Louise. Each correspondence between them ended the same way:
The show features more than 20 of Cline's most memorable numbers including "I Fall to Pieces," "Crazy," "Anytime," Walkin' After Midnight, and "Sweet Dreams," to name a few.
It's a musical tribute to one of the most influential, successful and acclaimed female vocalists of the 20th century. Artistic Director for Always. Patsy Cline is seasoned Little Theatre director, Ted Pack. The more-than 20 musical arrangements in the production are by the show's Musical Director, Dr. Richard "Rick" Martorano, who is a well-known musician and performer in the Central Florida area.
Cast in the lead role of this show is Lauretta Lawrence, a seasoned actor and vocalist, who has appeared at the Little Theatre in musical productions like "How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying" and "Red Hot and Cole", plays Patsy Cline. Patti Earl returns to the Little Theatre to play opposite as Cline's fan, Louise.
It's a touching and memorable production filled with laughs, heartache and the delight of once again hearing Patsy Cline's repertoire of songs on stage.

- Only six performances of the show are scheduled and it is anticipated that the Thanksgiving holiday with lots of visitors in the New Smyrna Beach area will contribute to the early selling out of performances.
- Tickets are $18 for adults, $17 for Seniors and $9 for students under 18 years old.
