Casey Anthony from a teen's point of view: 'Personally, I trusted the jury's decision'

The case of the most analyzed woman and her whole family has made it across the world and it occurred in our state! You can check all the way in Ireland and Casey Anthony is big news! Everyone has been watching. I have personally watched it very closely as much as possible each day and even three or so years ago when they were still searching for a living, missing girl: little Caylee Anthony.

Although many might not care, teens have been interested in this case and we have formed opinions of our own. The minute Casey Anthony was found not guilty for the murder of her daughter, Facebook blew up as people ranted and raved about the ruling.

Personally, I trusted the jury’s decision. I don’t think the defense team’s story is what won them the case. I think it was the holes in the prosecution’s case.

Personally, I trusted the jury’s decision. I don’t think the defense team’s story is what won them the case. I think it was the holes in the prosecution’s case.

What they presented was a case that gave motive. Not a how, not a where, and not a when; but they sure did focus on the who. Or at least the who that was easiest to prosecute and be made out as a villain.

I think the media and even the prosecutors focused more on showing you why they think Casey did it than proving it. Their forensics really didn’t prove murder. I still can’t understand why there was no DNA of anyone, including Caylee, on the duct tape; or traces of chloroform.

The prosecution said the duct tape was the murder weapon, but there was no DNA on it? This is just one of many things that didn’t quite add up in the case. The prosecutors firmly believed that the murder was premeditated. The evidence they used to support this were the searches made on the computer for chloroform.

The prosecution said it was searched 84 times. But this was after a second test by a brand new program. The original test said that on that day, MySpace was visited 84 times yet in the prosecution’s second test, MySpace wasn’t even mentioned.

Is it a coincidence that they were visited the exact number of times or did the prosecution make a mistake?

I think my biggest problems with this case are one being the fact that Casey got more attention than Caylee; even before they found her body. The media and everyone attacked Casey instead of looking for the little girl.

The second problem I have is that Casey was guilty until proven innocent; the opposite of what our law states it should be.

As for the grandparents, I really doubt any involvement they had in Caylee’s death; especially Cindy. If the River Cruz, Crystal Holloway thing is true, then I really look down on George.

During the time of his granddaughter’s death, daughter’s arrests, and wife’s mental breakdown, there’s no excuse for his actions. If it is not true, then yet another lie has been told making it no surprise there.

I really feel bad for the family and the fact that no one involved with this case will ever have lives quite the same. And that Caylee’s life was ended before it really could begin.

I don’t know who killed Caylee. I don’t know how someone killed Caylee. But the biggest mystery is why would someone would kill her; the poor, sweet, little, innocent girl that could do no harm.

It’s hard to know just what happened to her without a confession. Who knows, maybe Casey did drug her just to knock her out for the night and she accidently died. Or she dropped her off with a friend and an “accident that spun out of control” occurred.

No matter what happened, a little girl was found dead on the side of the road and her bones had been gnawed on by animals. Someone took her life. Someone looked in her big brown eyes and decided there was no reason for her to live.

That and that alone should have been the focus of the case.

But instead they focused on Casey. Casey this and Casey that.

I think she was irresponsible. I think she loved her daughter though. Just because she parties and acts irresponsibly and lies doesn’t automatically make her a killer or half my school would be convicted too. I don’t think it is fair that the life of a little girl was lost and no one was punished for it.

But without proof, you shouldn’t be able to convict anybody which is why I approve of the jury’s decision; for now.

There has been such an outpour of love towards Caylee. But the truth is, no matter how many candle lightings or writing Caylee’s name on your hand or even teddy bears at her gravesite can bring Caylee back. But what it can be is a lesson.

This happens too often. Innocent children get caught in the middle of this crazy world and pay the price.

We can learn from this. If you don’t want kids, don’t have them. If you can’t handle it anymore, find a better way of dealing with a child than silencing them forever. We can save children this way. So like we all know, Casey goes free on Sunday.

I think the public has no right to attack her and protest. Ok, they have the right to freedom of speech but it’s terrible that Casey’s safety is such a big deal. She really needs protection.

As for the “first interview,” Casey is going to need those millions dollars for security and to continue paying her attorneys. I think there’s something mentally wrong with Casey.

Her “imaginary friends” existed long before the case and even before her daughter’s birth. The whole family needs help; genuine help. I hope eventually the truth comes out; whatever the truth may be.

As for now, Casey Anthony gets to get out of the cell she spent 23 hours a day in for the past three years. She has no daughter, she will most likely not associate with her parents, and she’s a little more grown up then when the case began.

We have seen her emotions and reactions change as well as the way she carries and dresses herself through the case. And now, all the attention is on her instead of her daughter, (something she always wanted). But I don’t think the attention she’s going to get is the attention she wanted. And I think, “The beautiful life” is far from the life she can now live.
