I read where a group of so-called Christians protested to Lowes so much about them sponsoring a new television program called All American Muslim that Lowes pulled its sponsorship. Now the Muslims are protesting to Lowes about this not being fair.
I said “so-called” Christians because I believe a Christian follows Jesus and he did not turn away or condemn anyone. These Christians who condemn and accuse aren't Christians in my book.
This country has gone so far away from everything it was based on it is pathetic. Our melting pot has become one big mess. Used to be people were so happy to be in America. They came here legally, learned the language, and worked any kind of jobs they could get and were glad to have them and studied to become American citizens.
If they had welfare back then none of them would take it. Their descendants and the latest newcomers have formed into their own groups and now demand special privileges just for them and recognition as Muslim American, Hispanic American, Chinese American, Black American, and on and on.
When did we stop being just plain Americans?
America is expected to owe them a living so to speak. How sad for us all. It is also sad that any faction in this country has to go on television to justify their existence in their own country. Granted the terrorists are Muslim, but that doesn’t mean all Muslim’s are terrorists. I know for a fact they are not.
I have had many Muslim friends for many years and they are just like you and me. They work, raise their kids to be good Americans don’t hurt anyone but are ostracized because they practice a different religion.

Next maybe the Catholics will be the ones people decide should not be in favor then what? We accepted people from all over the world and they have the right to the same religious freedoms this country is founded on especially when they are born in American and are as American as anyone else.
Since I came from people who were not originally from this country am I not an American?
My great grandfather came from Italy with my grandfather. Granddad’s wife came from Nova Scotia. On the other side, they came from Ireland and Scotland.
I was born here, but if we are going to paint all other nationalities with the same tarnished brush I apparently am not a true American. If it comes right down to it the only true Americans are the descendants of the Indian tribes who were here when we came and pushed them out. So being from the Mayflower means you are not a true American you are an occupier.
Maybe none of us should have the privileges of an American. Our forefathers while certainly not saints meant this country to be a place where people from anywhere could come and be ruled by the constitution not by a king. I am not including the slaves they captured and forced into slavery for that was not their idea and it never should have happened but that is another blog altogether.
It's time we get back to being one big American melting pot no more Muslim American, etc.: Just Americans who practice a different set of religious rules or celebrate different holidays or whatever but Americans nonetheless.
And Lowes? They should sponsor whatever they want without boycotts and ridicule. That would also put the Christmas trees and decorations back where they have been for eons and stop changing things so as not to upset a certain group.
If you don’t celebrate Christmas why should everyone else suffer just for you?
You can ignore decorations once a year. All our old government buildings and even our money mention God or quotes from the Bible, but a Christmas tree is an affront? Come on people, let’s put this country back to what it was meant to be and stop all this nonsense!
