Florida Highway Patrol spokesman Sgt. Kim Montes said she did not know if this accident was Bike Week related.

Earlier fatal crash recorded by highway patrol

On Friday night, a 42-year-old Fern Park motorcyclist was killed when she veered into the center turn lane to pass several other bikes and clipped another biker while they were riding south on Pine Hills Road. Gina Rose DeMonte was thrown from her 2005 Suzuki upon impact with a 2006 Kawasaki being ridden by 34-year-old Burton Broadwater of Orlando. Neither were wearing helmets, but she crashed and he didn't.

DeMonte died from her injuries the following day at Orlando Regional Medical Center. The 6:55 p.m. Friday accident near Balboa Drive remains under investigation.

These two fatalities bring to eight the number of motorcycle deaths during Bike Week, though some may not end up counting as part of the motorcycle rally centered around Daytona Beach, Montes stressed.
