Supremes trash the Constitution

ORMOND BEACH -- In an unprecedented vote, a divided U.S. Supreme Court upheld Obamacare, the abomination that deprives Americans of individual liberty. The 5-4 vote reflects deep divisions in a country struggling to hold onto democracy because of the failed policies of a president who sees socialism as a means to an end.

Congressman Allen West took aim with these comments: “Benjamin Franklin did indeed state, 'In this world, nothing can be said to be certain, except death and taxes.' However, Dr. Franklin never envisioned the federal government would use its power of taxation to punish people for not purchasing health care. Today, individual sovereignty in America has been defeated."

President Obama still wants us to “move forward” over the cliff of socialism. I can only imagine the parties and wild celebrations amongst Democrats across the country this evening. The “individual mandate” portion of the Bill survived so no matter if you call it a tax or sewage, every American will be forced to pay the price.

The contraception mandate is alive and well and America will be sorely tested in the coming battle of religious conscience so cleverly disguised by this Administration as “pro-abortion” and the “right to choose.”

But Dick Morris has another view. He says that the Supremes gave (concerned Americans) us, a mandate, too. We must defeat Obama in November, retake the Senate and expand the margin of conservatives in the House. “For three years now in every single poll, Obamacare has gotten clobbered.”

Americans who value the remaining freedoms we still enjoy had best get busy and elect those who understand the Constitution and want to rescue it from the trash heap of history.
