DAYTONA BEACH -- In late August, The Volusia County Sheriff's Office launched a criminal investigation about allegations that at least three male employees with the Pine Girls Delinquency Commitment program at Stewart-Marchman Center had sexual relations with at least four girls there.
The Sheriff's Office got involved after a complaint was lodged by the Department of Children and Families regarding alleging inappropriate sexual activity between the workers whose names were not released and the clients. The agency said the accused workers were reassigned away from the facility. According to the report, the workers were receiving oral sex from the girls, who were there under court order for criminal behavior. The investigation is ongoing.
