Clifford Ray Leist, age 72, of Edgewater, died Friday, June 4, 2010 at Ocean View Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, New Smyrna Beach. Born in Guymon, Oklahoma, Mr. Leist, a retired Volusia County school teacher, came to this area in 2000 from Osteen, Florida.
He was a member of the Taloea, Oklahoma Christian Church, Hacienda Del Rio Horseshoe Club and Fish and Boat Club, Central Florida Metal Detective Club, D&F Metal Detective Club, Jacksonville Metal Detective Club, and Poker Club.
Survivors include his wife of nearly 50 years, Lona; 1 son, Ray Ardell Leist of Carlisle, Pennsylvania; 1 sister, Penny Condren of Taloca, Oklahoma; and 1 grandchild, Steven Kyle Leist, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
