Fire erupts at EPCOT theme park at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando

ORLANDO, Fla. -- A fire erupted on Saturday at the EPCOT theme park in Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando but was extinguished.

There were no injuries reported. 

A Walt Disney World official said that the fire started from a walk-in cooler in the backstage area of the France Pavilion late Saturday afternoon.

Disney guests were evacuated from Remy's Ratatouille Adventure, one of the newer attractions to open at EPCOT and based on the hit animated movie. Disney officials stressed that no injuries were reported.

A thick plume of black smoke shot into the air and could be seen throughout the sprawling park and beyond. Disney officials said I was completely extinguished before 7:30 p.m.
