PORT ORANGE, Fla -- Marilyn Ford should be given the nod by the voters today in the runoff special election to succeed her late husband, Robert Ford, for the district 1 seat he held on the Port Orange City Council.

After all, that's what Bob Ford would have wanted, no doubt, and Marilyn Ford certainly has the experience as a longtime public servant with county govrnment.

She wants to continue his conservative approach to municipal spending while ensuring essential services likes public safety are provided. Keep in miond that Robert Ford was also the longtime police chief in Port Orange.
