
The victim told police they drove around the west side of New Smyrna Beach for a short time before he let her go unhurt after he took the purse and drove off with her car. Less than two weeks later, Williams was pulled over by Jacksonville authorities in the victim's car, according to the New Smyrna Beach police report, and subsequently charged with posession of a stolen motor vehicle. Duval County asuthorities turned him over to police here and he was jailed last week.
