Maureen France draws public interest in election qualifying with surprise announcement that she's running for mayor of Holly Hill

HOLLY HILL, Fla. -- Political insider Maureen France brought some excitement to the otherwise dry news of candidate qualifying for elections with her video announcement on social media of her campaign for mayor.

And by doing so put a familiar face to lead the pack of returning politicians for municipal and county offices in Volusia County.

"Wow!" was the one-word reaction of friend Kaen Jans on France's Facebook page.
