Municipality recognizes Rotary Club of Downtown Ormond Beach

ORMOND BEACH, Fla. – The Ormond Beach City Commission has recognized the Rotary Club of Downtown Ormond Beach “for its contributions to the community, particularly for its efforts assisting Ormond Beach Elementary."

The Rotary Club of Downtown Ormond Beach performs gardening at the school, conducts a Reading Buddies program, tutors students, contributes outdoor maintenance, and assists with the Student Advisory Council. 

The Rotary Club of Downtown Ormond Beach recently collaborated with the Ormond Beach Rotary Club and the Rotary Club of Daytona Beach West to redesign and rebuild Ormond Beach Elementary’s outdoor classroom, nabbing the school to have a safe space for students to learn science outside.”  The Mayor congratulated the club and awarded a certificate of appreciation for “Outstanding dedication to the community and contributions to Ormond Beach students.” 

As the mayor was out of town, his father, Bill Partington II presented the certificate to the club.
