Seminole County Sheriff's Office reminds y'all to spring your clocks forward 1 hour

By HENRY FREDERICK / Headline Surfer

SANFORD, Fla. -- The Seminole County Sheriff's Office issues this friendly reminder to y'all here in Central Florida: Turn your clocks ahead one hour early Sunday morning.

Yes, it's that dreaded Daylight Savings time and it will sneak up on you faster than you think!

"Just a friendly reminder that Daylight Savings is this Sunday at 2 a.m.," the SCSO wrote on its Facebook page. "We’re springing forward and setting our clocks ahead an hour."

Thankfully, most digital systems do it automatically, such as smartphones, laptops, and cable TV systems. Some stoves do, too but not all. The same is true with some microwaves.

Daylight saving time begins overnight, at 2. am on Sunday, March 9. People in most of America will turn their clocks forward one hour, which means they will lose one hour of sleep, but the sun will set an hour later . That is when daylight saving time ends on Nov. 2.
