DELTONA -- Of the many Americans being held by foreign powers, Why Bowe Bergdahl?

You hear stories of Americans indesperate situations in countries abroad, but from recent reports Bergdahl might have been pre-disposed to the Taliban when he left his base in 2009 -- an apparent deserter.

Six fellow American soldiers died looking for him.

The Taliban, I guess, were not what he expected or hoped for when he fell into their hands.

Some reports lead us to believe he had "buyer's remorse" and tried to escape in 2010. But later on he said he converted to Islam and was a warrior for Allah. He was even playing soccer with guards. Some say his behavior is that of some some suffering Stockholm Syndrome. I do believe most people would break after five years of captivity, but it's the start of his captivity that is dubious.

The Obama Administration traded five hardened terrorists locked up in Guantanamo, who most likely will return to the battlefield to shed the blood of more Americans on the front lines.

Of all the Americans in jeopardy, why Bergdahl, who appears to look down on his own country?

Will we have to worry about the man we saved? We have seen the Taliban turn Americans into sympathizers and even terrorists. It would be a crowning achievement for the Taliban for the US to give up five of their's for one of our's who embraces their Jihadism.

When Bergdahl is back our American soil, will there be "de-programming" of the Taliban way that he has been indoctrinated into?

We need to make sure that he will not be a danger to America and will not be left to his own devices until everything has been thoroughly investigated and he has been cleared. There are too many questions that our government is not answering, which is par for the course.

Finally, with this trade, are we putting a target on the heads of our soldiers? I thought we were always told the US would not negotiate with terrorists?

But that is what they have done, which now means the enemy can use our kidnapped soldiers as bait, with Obama setting a new precedent in negotiating out of weakness.
