John J. Slater, 76, passed away on July 25, 2010, in his home with his children by his side. Jack was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine, who passed away in May 2010. They were married for 43 years. Jack lead a full- and fruit-filled life.
He received his college degree from Syracuse University. He served in the U.S. Air Force. His professional careers span from Weatherman WTVH 5 Syracuse, NY, an actor, and also business owner, just to name a few.
He was a man who touched many lives. A mentor to his children. His children are, William (Lynda) Slater of Colton, NY, JoAnn Slater of Houston, TX, Patricia (Richard) Manzi of Altamonte Springs, FL, Linda Clement of Grantville, PA, and Michael (Maria) Congelo of Syracuse, NY. He also has 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Our Dad will dearly be missed by all who knew him. He always was a very giving and caring man. Our Dad.
