World War II was the war to end all wars, with the United States of America entering after Japan bombed Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, 1941. Germany had already taken over most of Europe, with France falling and England in a near fall.
England held on long enough for the US to assemble the greatest Army in the world with the invasion of Normandy that would repel Hitler's army and liberate Europe. In the meantime, American forces were winning the war in the Pacific, and eventually the defeat of the Japanese and the Germans.
The Constitution of the United States of America has empowered us to help bring freedom across the globe. Our nation has seen great prosperity with the automobile industry, crops and teachnology.
We are one country under God, but lately I've woken up to a new world that we live in with turmoil and war, a bad economy and widespread unemployment. People are killing each other and it's country against country. We need to make the best of it.
