Larry McKinney out as head of the Daytona Regional Chamber of Commerce

DAYTONA BEACH -- Larry McKinney, the head of the Daytona Regional Chamber of Commerce, has left the organization in an apparent settlement, a source told Headline Surfer on condition of anonymity.

News of McKinney's departure today coincides with the first day of Bike Week, the chamber's signature-marketed event.

Bike Week started today and runs for the next 10 days, expected to bring in half a million tourists.

McKinney had come under criticism from several executive board members over a number of insider issues.
