When was the last time someone actually said and meant that?
Well, I will tell you, and I really do mean it.
Since my election, I have always looked to those who elected me for their opinions, and possible solutions to some of the complex discussions and issues we have had to take on.
I also listen to the concerns of the citizens, what is on their minds, and I am truly concerned about their problems. I have listened to people as they come to the county dais and have shown them the respect I would want someone to show me, even though they may be attacking me verbally.

I have even stopped what I was doing, as someone would recognize me, and listen to their complaints, and problems, and most times I direct them to the person that can help them with their issue.
I do my best to help everyone I come in contact with. Sometimes I can, sometimes I cannot. I still try.
So this Thanksgiving, am I thankful for my family, friends, home and my job? Well, yes. Mostly though, I am thankful for you. Yes, I am thankful for the Citizens of Volusia County that helped me, and still support me.
So to you, I say "thank you," and I hope everyone has a safe and happy Thanksgiving.
