NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla. -- Dawson Porter made the catch of his life and he has the photo to prove it, courtesy of his father, Buzzy Porter, who initially posted the jaw-dropping image on Facebook in October.
The 12-year-old Holly Hill youth is shown holding this massive 26-inch redfish that he caught all by himself in a New Smyrna Beach Backwater Tournament in early October.
Dawson Porter's big catch comes in at No. 95 in the HeadlineSurfer.com countdown of the top 100 local stories of 2014.
