DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- As US citizens we say we want to put an end to the terrorist organizations like ISIS, but recent national polls show fighting terrorist organizations like ISIS is a priority of 2 percent. We're not willing to commit to putting boots on the ground in Syria and Iraq to get the job done.
Perhaps it's because we have an ocean separating us from these Jihadist maniacs. After all, Paris far closer to the Middle East.
With ISIS cells in Belgium and within the French borders themselves, Friday's terrorist attacks resulted in the most blood spilled on French soil since World War II.
How soon we forget the Boston Marathon bombings killing three and injuring an estimated 264 others. Never mind that the terrorists -- Chechen brothers Dzhokhar Tsarnaev and Tamerlan Tsarnaev (killed in shootout) --were living in a suburb of Boston.
And how about the carnage of 9/11 and the planes hijacked out of Boston? 2,996 people killed, including the 19 hijackers.
The 2,977 victims included 246 on the four planes (from which there were no survivors), 2,606 in the World Trade Center and in the surrounding area, and 125 at the Pentagon.
A street surveillance video from Paris that shows the bloodshed certainly is an eye opener. America needs to wake up and take the lead role in wiping ISIS off the face of the Earth.
Perhaps the next terrorist attack on American soil will be the detonation of a nuke. Then what?
