DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Volusia County Beach Safety flew the red flag on this rainy Sunday with hazardous rip current conditions once again up and down the coast.
"We had no water related incidents as the weather was cloudy, windy and rainy all day," Beach Safety Capt. Aaron Jenkins reported in an email to Headline Surfer®. "The beach was open in the morning and early afternoon hours only to close with the increasing seas later in the day."

High tide was at 4 p.m. and there were no reports of erosion despite the steady rainfall.
