DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Governor Rick Scott today announced the appointments of Stanley Escudero and Garry Lubi to the Daytona State College Board of Trustees.
Escudero, 71, of Daytona Beach Shores, is a retired foreign ambassador for the US Department of State. He has served as the president of the American Chamber of Commerce in Azerbaijan. Escudero received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida and an associates from what was then-Daytona Beach Community College. He fills a vacancy on the board that runs through May 31, 2015.
Lubi, 56, of Palm Coast, is the senior vice president of Ameris Bank. He has served as the chairman of the Flagler County Chamber of Commerce and on the board of the Flagler County Education Foundation. Lubi received his bachelor’s degree from Canisius College. He, too, fills a DSC board that runs through May 31 of this year.
