My Mom hated doing that so much that she kvetched about it from two weeks before more than three weeks after the fact.
She kept saying they need to leave it alone. We have relatives In Arizona who opted out of this silliness when it began, which made things all the worse for her because we'd go from two hours behind to three and having to keep track of when to call her sister drove her crazy.
I am heartened that maybe with talks now and large public support things may one day finally change.
I have said for years that it needs to stay lighter year round for Florida because in winter it gets dark before adults even get home from work so jogging is dangerous or playing a game of tennis and other things is not fun in the dark.
With so many outdoor activities year round here, we need that, but I imagine that if we get to stop changing times it won’t be keeping Daylight Savings Time, it will be to keep Eastern Standard Time, which doesn’t help evening activities, but stops the need to change all the clocks twice a year.

The older people get less adept with the newest technology making things difficult for them to change without help. I had to change the digital clocks for Mom including the time in her car.
Finally, she said to forget the car clock and she just tried to remember if it was off by one hour -- ahead or behind -- trying to remember that it was Spring forward (move clocks ahead by an hour) in March or fall back (move the clocks back by an hour) in November. It is a nuisance she and many of us see no sense in doing.
It would be better to have year-round Daylight Savings Time, but even if the governor signs off on it, the feds have the final say and they're not likely to go for it.
