FORECAST: Christmas shaping up to be perfect in Central Florida, but more immediately cold & patchy frost

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- The weather on Christmas is shaping up to be picture perfect for Central Florida, but more immediately it's going to be cold tonight with patchy frost after 3 am, according to the National Weather Service in Melbourne.

Currently, at 6 p.m. it's 58 degrees in Daytona Beach with a few clouds, but there's no chance of rain.

Temps tonight in greater Daytona will hover around 39 with clear skies and patchy frost into the early morning.

 Sunday will be mostly sunny with a high near 65, with northwest winds around 5 mph becoming east northeast in the afternoon. Skies will be mostly clear Sunday night with a low around 45. and a calm wind.

Monday will bring a continuation of sunny skies with a high near 68. Calm wind becoming north northwest around 5 mph in the morning. Temperatures will be a modest 50 degrees Monday night with partly cloudy skies and a north wind around 5 mph.

The Christmas Day forecast calls for m skies with a high near 72. Northeast wind around 5 mph. Tuesday night will be partly cloudy with a low around 58, and winds from the east and northeast around 5 mph.
