DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Sunday's partly sunny skies are expected to give way to possible sghowers on Monday with a 50 percent chance of rain before the sunshine returns Wednesday, according to the National Weather Servicve in Melborne for greater Daytona Beach.

Monday's high in Daytona will be near 76 with a southwest wind of 5 to 10 mph becoming north in the afternoon. Expected rainfall amounts are between a tenth and quarter of an inch, unless thunderstorms erupt and then there could be an increase in precipitation. Monday night will see mostly cloudy skies, with a low around 55 and a north wind of 5 to 10 mph.

There's a 20 percent chance of showers for Tuesday with mostly cloudy skies and a high near 67. Winds will be north northwest at 5 to 10 mph. On Tuesday night, skies will be mostly clear, with a low around 44. Winds will be northwest wind at 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Wednesday will see a return to mostly sunny skies in Daytona, but with much coller temps near 57. Winds will be 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
