WAVERLY, Ohio -- Connecticut’s Supreme Court rules Gun Manufacturer that made AR-15 style rifle hat was used in the Sandy Hook school massacre in 2012, can be sued by Newtown victims' families.
Or we may call this ruling another back-door avenue to enforce gun-control on a public at large, uneasy, and unwilling to restrict firearms rights through the normative, legislative process. That’s putting it mildly.
It also sets a brutal and illiberal precedent where someone who uses a inanimate product in a criminal fashion allows victims or their family to sue the company who made the product, e.g., like a Ford automobile a drunk driver uses to kill, or a person who uses a certain brand of car to run over people.
Just another day in the life of nation whose legal elites have lost their minds - skipping over rational, rule of law principals.
One can hope a higher federal court, or indeed, the U.S. Supreme Court, shoots this monstrosity down — but that is a hope.
One can pray a day will come when anti-gun advocates will be sincere and simply propose through candidates, the people’s representatives, etc., to propose a straight repeal of the Second Amendment (which will fail) rather than shoe-horn these behind the back attempts. Those who cherish our civil liberties and Bill of Rights should call out such people for what they are and are trying to do.

Part of the problem with our political discourse in this moment is a failure for all to be above board and honest about the kind of country they want.
