ORMOND BEACh, Fla -- Volusia County Chair Ed Kelley took some time from his busy schedule to check out the Arbor Day Festivities at Ormond Beach Middle School on Friday, including the planting of three new trees.

More than 135 million people living in some 3,400 cities and towns throughout the US benefit from trees that clean the air and water, provide shade to lower energy costs and protect wildlife habitats, according to the Arbor Day Foundation.

With this being the 150th Anniversary of Arbor Day,  students at Ormond Beach Middle School were proud to showcase the planting of three new trees.
