PORT ORANGE, Fla. -- The woman shot by cops outside the Port Orange police headquarters has died.
Linda Croteau, a 71-year-old widow who walked into the police lobby Thursday where a shot was fired from the gun she was holding, walked outside, and was shot by three cops who ordered her to drop the gun.
There are conflicting reports as to what led to the use of deadly force. The police chief has said it was an active shooter situation.
ORLANDO, Fla. -- Florida has partially banned Flock cameras, ordering their immediate removal from all state highway rights-of-way. The directive, issued on August 31, 2026, revokes current permits and blocks future installations on state-managed roads.
