Photos by Henry Frederick / Steve Dennis can thank Michele ad Robert Lott for costing him his 25-year tenure with the New Smyrna Beach Community Redevelopment Agency since they closed up their rented office for the Observer newspaper on Flagler Avenue. Not only is Dennis off the board, but the public no longer has direct access to the Observer, which no longer has a legal physical location.

NEW SMYRNA BEACH -- Steve Dennis abruptly resigned from the Community Redevelopment Agency after his latest claim to ties with the district were called into question by his board's chairman and by NSBNews.net.

Economic development success requires regulatory reform at all levels of government

Elected on a platform of “jobs, jobs, jobs,” Governor Rick Scott has been addressing importing businesses from other areas of the country and enticing start-ups to view Florida as fertile ground for their new endeavors.
