BREAKING NEWS: Bradshaw takes stand in penalty phase: 'I wouldn't hurt Lisa'
Edgewater killer Russell Charles Bradshaw denied murdering 21-year-old Lisa Memro during the penalty phase of his trial this morning before the jury began deliberating a recommended sentence of life or death.
"I know in my heart that I wouldn't hurt Lisa just like I know in my heart there is a God," Bradshaw said in a monotone voice from the stand around 11 this morning.

Edgewater killer Russell Bradshaw was sentenced this afternoon to life in prison without the possibility of parole for the Sept. 25, 2006, throat-slash slaying of 21-year-old Lisa Memro. The jurors recommended life over death by lethal injection and Circuit Judge James R. Clayton subsequenly imposed the life sentence.

Fish, Feathers and Fur
The weather is the typical summer-time fishing weather hot, humid and thunderstorms. The good news is that several captains are seeing the cold water is resolving but it is still spotty yet. Fish seem to be marking better, however.
The dolphin have moved north with no reports of any being caught this week. SST’s are 80 degrees Fahrenheit. The King Mackerel continues to be the main trolling fish - mostly on wrecks and artificial reefs and barracudas. are also being caught. Capt. John Krall continues to slam the kingfish, red snapper. and grouper. Cobia are under debris and loggerhead turtles. Nobody has seen any rays. Several sailfish have been caught recently. Little tunny are still testing the endurance of the light line anglers. The bottom bite for back sea bass, trigger fish, vermillion and Lane snapper has slowed but continues to be good. A lot of genuine American red snapper were landed this week. Amberjack continue to give anglers great fights.

Everybody frets on Wal-Mart except the customers
If you listen to the liberal mainstream media, you get the impression that everyone hates Wal-Mart. However, if you talk to the customers, even here at the one in New Smyrna Beach, Wal-Mart is well-liked by shoppers like 25-year-old Cristi Pendarvis who works in the dining room at the Sugar Mill Country Club.
"I like Wal Mart," she says. "Everything is there that you need. It's close and convenient.”
Jill Karnes, 48, who works at Clancy’s Cantina on the beachside, says, “I like Wal Mart. I would like to have a super center here. It is convenient with good deals.”
