Daytona State College signs first two runners for new cross country team

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Daytona State Women's Cross Country has signed the first two women to compete in the inaugural season in the fall of 2018: Moriya Patsch, a 2017 graduate from Seabreeze High School, and Janie Davidson, a 2017 Spruce Creek High School graduate, have committed to run for the Falcons in what will be a historic season for the school.  

$10,000 grant awarded to Daytona State College will strengthen paths to industrial management degree

LAKE MARY, Fla. -- The Seminole County School district has seen a dramatic spike in student enrollment in the past couple of weeks.

Dramatic enough to fill the equivalent of three classrooms, district officials say. The sudden influx comes from families leaving Puerto Rico, many of them to Central Florida since the massive devastation from Hurricane Maria.
