ORLANDO -- Pledging to his GOP colleagues that he would be a "conservative voice" for the party, Tony Ledbetter, chairman of the Republican Executive Committee of Volusia County, was elected Congressional District 6 chairman for the Republican Party of Florida at its annual meeting this weekend at the Rosen Centre Hotel.

"I am honored by the support from the conservative leaders in Congressional District 6. I will be a conservative voice on the State Executive Board of the Florida Republican Party," said Ledbetter, of Ormond Beach, who will represent Volusia, Putnam, St. John and Flagler counties on the State Executive Board of the Republican Party for the next two years.
