Darlene B. Fought, 72, of New Smyrna Beach, a former special needs teacher at Atlantic High School, died Friday, Oct. 23, 2009.

Carmen L. Lanther, 70, of Oak Hill, born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, who retired from McDon­ald Douglas and NCR where she worked for many
years as an electronic assem­bler, died Sunday, Oct. 18, 2009.

James J. Standing, 75, of Edgewater, a former commercial oil truck driver, died Sunday, Oct. 18, 2009.

Jeanne Wallace, 88, of Edgewater, a retired office clerk, died Sunday, Oct. 18, 2009.

James Winton Hathaway, 90, of New Smyrna Beach, who served in the U.S. Army as an artillery captain and was a retired utilities technician, died Sunday, October 18, 2009.

Lester C. Lincoln, 73, of Kokomo and formerly of Edgewater, who served in the U.S. Air Force for 10 years, was a member of the CSEA, Independent Union and A.F. & L. in Connecticut, and alsoa member of the Elks Lodge in Edgewater, died Sunday, Oct. 18, 2009.

William Hartley Meck, 62, of New Smyrna Beach, a U.S. Air Force veteran, who served during
the Vietnam War as a staff sergeant, Air First Calvary Division, .returned home and worked as a radio announcer for WSBB, was a manager for McCrory's, and an independent truck driver for his own business "Meck Trucking" for 20 years, died Sunday, Oct. 18, 2009.

Oliver Henry Wall, Jr. "Ollie", 78, New Smyrna Beach, who attended Morris Harvey College in Charleston, W.V, served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and worked at the Kennedy Space Center for 30 years as a Support Test Conductor working with both the Apollo and Shuttle programs, died Sunday, Oct. 18, 2009.

Har­vey A. Beltz, Jr., 56, of Edgewa­ter, who dedicated his mechanical talents to International Cash Register, Inc., and to his own company, Galaxy Business Equipment, died Saturday, Oc­t. 17, 2009.

John A. Silva, Jr., 95, a native of Taunton, Mass., who served in the police reserve, then enlisted in the Navy and served
in World War II, before working as a police officer and then opening his own grocery mart, 'Silva Fine Foods' which he operated until he sold it in 1974, died Saturday, Oct.17, 2009.
