Bethune-Cookman University split a doubleheader Saturday against home standingNorth Carolina Central, in baseball, winning the first game 4-2 behind pitcher Keith Zuniga. But in the second game, B-CU wasn't as fortunate, losing 8-4 , including a 5th-inning grand slam. The teams play again on Sunday.

DURHAM, N.C. – Bethune-Cookman and North Carolina Central split a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference baseball doubleheader on Saturday at Durham Athletic Park, as the Southern Division leading Wildcats kept their one-game lead intact.

Bethune-Cookman took the opener, 4-2 behind a brilliant pitching performance from Keith Zuniga. But in the nightcap, it was NCCU using a grand slam as part of a five-run fifth inning to take the contest, 8-4.

Daytona 500 race: 40% chance of rain

More than 20 drivers kicked off a two-day NASCAR Nationwide Series test with the new car that will make its competition debut in the Subway Jalapeno 250 Powered By Coca-Cola on Friday night, July 2, part of the Coke Zero 400 Weekend Powered By Coca-Cola.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Marking the Wood Brothers' 60th year in NASCAR competition, Glen Wood, one of the founders of Wood Brothers Racing, will wave the green flag for the 52nd running of 'The Great American Race" - the Daytona 500.Joining Glen Wood in the flagstand for the start of the Daytona 500 will be his brother Leonard as well as Glen's sons Len and Eddie Wood, who currently lead Wood Brothers Racing efforts in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series today.
