DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Circuit Judge Raul Zambrano is soaring to new heights in his distinguished career on the bench. The would-be jet fighter pilot assumes the role of the chief judge of the 7th Judicial circuit that encompasses Volusia, Flagler, Putnam and St. Johns counties, effective July 1.

LAKE MARY, Fla. -- A 29-year-old Deltona motorist was killed Wednesday when she lost control of her 2001 two-door Acura on Interstate 4during which she left the roadway, clipped a traffic sign and then struck a tree causing her to be ejected from her car, a state trooper said.
