HOLLY HILL, Fla. -- If there is one thing certain from the Headline Surfer Public Candidate Debates for the three seats on the Volusia County Council up for grabs in the Nov. 8 general elections, district 4's Heather Post and Al Smith do not like each other one bit and it showed when they were seated next to each other with the moderator to their left and the video camera pointed at them.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Fifteen community leaders with the United Way of Volusia and Flagler Counties were selected by the agency's executive board in early September to each serve a two-year term on the Community Impact Cabinet that is responsible for strategically mapping United Way priority areas, reviewing requests for funding, and monitoring programs and results from those programs.

SANFORD, Fla. -- Hillary Clinton is speaking to a large overflow partisan crowd inside the Sanford Civic Center here in downtown Sanford saying she would defeat ISIS, mentioning the Pulse massacre in nearby Orlando and that she was a US Senator during the 9/11 that toppled the World Trade Center towers.

Then she quickly turned to gun violence, norting Trayvon Martin was gunned down in Sanford. It is Sanford where the Black Lives Matter movement was borne as a result, but she avoided any mention of it.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- With the distinct possibility Hillary Clinton skates by with the private email server scandal, based on the way the FBI is mishandling the investigation (being shown up by Wikileaks with thousands of emails published), now is not the time to punish failed presidential candidate Marco Rubio or Ron DeSantis from making the 11th-hour decisions to seek a return to the seats they have held in Washington in the US Senate and the House, respectively.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- At 63, and having spent much of his adult life helping his wife, Stacie, raised their five children while holding down a variety of demanding jobs over the years, Michael Cantu, a true conservative Republican with strong Judeo-Christian values, and a BA in Political Science from the University of Central Florida, feels the time is right for him to give back to his community by representing local interests in Tallahassee.
