ALTAMONTE, Fla. – Gov. Rick Scott has appointed Altamonte Springs resident Dave Heine to the Florida Board of Acupuncture.

Heine, 58, is the owner of Timeshare Escrow and Title, LLC, and Land Title of Florida, LLC. He fills a vacant seat and is appointed for a term that ends Oct. 31, 2020.

European Union invites Seminole County Commissioner Lee Constantine to water management summit

ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. -- The European Union has invited 12 water policy leaders from the United States to participate in a Water Management Summit this month.

Seminole County Commissioner Lee Constantine is the only Floridian and elected official invited to the summit. 

The summit will explore EU policy, EU-US technology and showcase the innovative water management technologies of Member States. The program will offer an opportunity for a mutual exchange of best practices.

Though Luis Toledo exercised his right not take take the stand in his own defense when offered the opportunity Wednesday, the jury heard from him indirectly through the playing of an alleged jailholuse confession video interview earlier in the week by an investigator with the Volusia County Sheriff's Office.

WINTER PARK, Fla. -- Veteran sportscaster Dan Patrick and Full Sail University are teaming up.

Patrick was heavily involved with the development of this program, Full Sail officials said in a livestream announcement Thursday afternoon via YouTube. 

“I’m regularly being asked how to get into the industry, and I was meeting college graduates who weren’t getting practical experience as part of their degrees," Patrick explained.
