Danica Patrick starts 15th in today's Nationwide series race at Daytona

Courtesy photos/DIS Danica Patrick, the Indy Racing track star who finished 6th in the Arca race last weekend is among the drivers competing in the 1:30 p.m. NASCAR Nationwide series DRIVE4COPD at Daytona International Speedway. Patrick starts 15th. 

DAYTONA BEACH  –  After making her stock car racing debut in last weekend’s Lucas Oil Slick Mist 200 and finishing sixth, Danica Patrick makes her first NASCAR Nationwide Series start at the “World Center of Racing” in today's DRIVE4COPD 300 behind the wheel of the No. 7 GoDaddy.com Chevrolet for JR Motorsports.

The 120-lap, 300-mile race will kick off Patrick’s partial NASCAR Nationwide Series schedule that she plans on running with JR Motorsportst.

'Cudas overwhelmed by powerhouse Dwyer in Class 4A playoffs; 42-6

The 2009 football season is over for the New Smyrna Beach 'Cudas who were no match for powerhouse Dwyer High School Panthers of Palm Beach Gardens, with a 42-6 loss tonight on the road in the Class 4A state quarterfinals. Cudas senior quarterback A.J. Granger, at right, had a rough night getting intercepted by Florida High School Player of the Year Matt Elam early in the first quarter. The Cudas' scoring was limited to six points the third quarter. Dwyer, now 12-1, moves on while the season comes to an abrupt end for the Cudas who finish with an 8-5 record.

Cudas crush Creek, 43-0, in Homecoming

'Cudas lose to Seabreeze 33-14 at home to fall to 1-1

Granger handed off to running back Stephen Jackson for a first-half score and scored himself on a second half goal-line plunge, but scoring opportunities were few and far between.
